TT Biden nói với ông Tập: Cả hai quốc gia không được ‘chuyển hướng sang xung đột’
Hôm thứ Năm (09/09), Tổng thống Joe Biden đã tiến hành cuộc điện đàm thứ hai với lãnh đạo Trung Quốc Tập Cận Bình kể từ khi trở thành tổng thống Hoa Kỳ — cuộc điện đàm đầu tiên giữa hai nhà lãnh đạo này đã diễn ra bảy tháng trước (tức tháng 02/2021).
Trong một tuyên bố ngắn, Tòa Bạch Ốc cho biết trong cuộc điện đàm kéo dài khoảng 90 phút hai nhà lãnh đạo đã có “một cuộc thảo luận chiến lược, bao quát,” gồm “các lĩnh vực mà các lợi ích của chúng ta giống nhau, và các lĩnh vực mà các lợi ích, giá trị và quan điểm của chúng ta không đồng nhất.”
“Cuộc thảo luận này, như Tổng thống Biden đã nói rõ, là một phần trong nỗ lực không ngừng của Hoa Kỳ nhằm quản lý có trách nhiệm sự cạnh tranh giữa Hoa Kỳ và PRC [Cộng hòa Nhân dân Trung Hoa],” tuyên bố này cho biết thêm. “Hai nhà lãnh đạo đã thảo luận về trách nhiệm của cả hai quốc gia để bảo đảm việc cạnh tranh không chuyển hướng sang xung đột.”

Tuyên bố của Trung Quốc cũng cho biết ông Biden nói với ông Tập rằng Hoa Kỳ “không có ý định thay đổi chính sách một Trung Quốc.”
Thời báo Hoàn Cầu, phương tiện truyền thông nhà nước hiếu chiến của Trung Quốc, đã bóp méo thêm tuyên bố của Trung Quốc nhằm thúc đẩy tuyên truyền của Trung Cộng. Trong một dòng tweet, kênh thông tấn này đã viết ông Biden cho biết Hoa Kỳ “không có ý định thay đổi nguyên tắc một Trung Quốc.”
Hoa Kỳ từ lâu đã giữ “chính sách một Trung Quốc,” vốn khẳng định rằng chỉ có một quốc gia có chủ quyền với tên gọi “Trung Quốc,” nhưng điều đó khác với “nguyên tắc một Trung Quốc” mà theo đó Trung Cộng khẳng định chủ quyền đối với Đài Loan. Chính phủ Đài Loan cũng đã bác bỏ “nguyên tắc một Trung Quốc” của Trung Quốc.
