Hơn 100 người đoạt giải Nobel ký tuyên bố chung lên án ĐCSTQ
Hôm 28/7, hơn 100 người đoạt giải Nobel đã ký một tuyên bố lên án Đảng Cộng sản Trung Quốc (ĐCSTQ) can thiệp vào Hội nghị thượng đỉnh Nobel. Hoạt động này được tổ chức trực tuyến vào tháng Tư, trong đó cơ quan đồng chủ trì tổ chức là Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học Quốc gia Mỹ, trang Vision Times cho hay.
Theo tuyên bố, một tháng trước sự kiện này, Đại sứ quán ĐCSTQ tại Mỹ đã qua email và điện thoại yêu cầu loại bỏ 2 diễn giả: Tenzin Gyatso (tên thật của Đạt Lai Lạt Ma thứ 14, nhà lãnh đạo thế quyền và giáo quyền của Tây Tạng) – người từng được giải Nobel Hòa bình, và giáo sư Lý Viễn – nhà hóa học người Đài Loan là Giáo sư danh dự tại Đại học California chi nhánh Berkeley.
Tuyên bố cho biết hoạt động truyền video về một số cuộc họp đã bị tấn công mạng gây gián đoạn khi Tổ chức Nobel tiếp tục mời 2 diễn giả tham gia.
Họ viết: “Chúng tôi không thể chấp nhận thủ đoạn của Chính phủ Trung Quốc cố gắng kiểm duyệt và dọa nạt cộng đồng khoa học bằng cách ngăn cản 2 người từng được giải của chúng tôi (hoặc bất kỳ ai khác) phát biểu tại các hội nghị bên ngoài Trung Quốc”.
Khi đề cập đến chủ đề môi trường của sự kiện này có tên “Hành tinh của chúng ta, tương lai của chúng ta”, những người được giải cho biết “Tương lai của hành tinh chúng ta sẽ đòi hỏi sự hợp tác của tất cả các quốc gia và tất cả các nhà khoa học trên thế giới”. Họ kết luận: “Các diễn đàn quốc tế như Hội nghị thượng đỉnh Nobel là cách cơ bản để tìm ra giải pháp, duy trì lòng tin quốc tế, để đảm bảo một tương lai công bằng và thịnh vượng hơn”.
Những người ký tên trong tuyên bố có cả những nhà khoa học Trung Quốc như nhà vật lý Thôi Kì người gốc Trung Quốc là giáo sư danh dự của Đại học Princeton Mỹ, và giáo sư vật lý của Đại học Stanford là Chu Đệ Văn – cựu Bộ trưởng Năng lượng Mỹ.
Một người ký tên cho biết, nhiều người trong chúng tôi có các đồng nghiệp khoa học quý giá và bạn bè lâu năm ở Trung Quốc, chúng tôi đã có những tương tác hiệu quả với họ, nhưng nếu các hành động tương tự tiếp tục, điều đó có thể ảnh hưởng đến ý nguyện của chúng tôi trong sẵn sàng tham gia các hoạt động ở Trung Quốc, đặc biệt là những hoạt động do Chính phủ Trung Quốc tài trợ hoặc hỗ trợ toàn bộ hoặc một phần.

Trong quá khứ Chính phủ Trung Quốc luôn tích cực chiêu mời những nhà khoa học nổi tiếng từ khắp nơi trên thế giới để quản lý các “Phòng thí nghiệm Nobel” và các trung tâm đổi mới được họ đầu tư rất chu đáo.
Thời báo Hoàn cầu đã đổ lỗi mâu thuẫn này là do Mỹ gây ra, cáo buộc Mỹ đầu độc nghiêm trọng nền khoa học quốc tế trong việc thúc đẩy 100 người đoạt giải Nobel lên tiếng chỉ trích Trung Quốc vì vấn đề ngăn cản 2 người ly khai phát biểu. Tờ báo này biện hộ rằng Đức Đạt Lai Lạt Ma đến từ Tây Tạng và Lý Viễn đến từ Đài Loan là một phần trong quyết định của Trung Quốc.
Việc Đài Loan bị loại khỏi một số hoạt động học thuật liên quan đến Liên Hiệp Quốc là một vấn đề tồn tại từ lâu, nhưng vấn đề lại nóng lên vào cuối năm 2020 khi một nghiên cứu sinh tại Đại học Stanford bị cấm tham dự các hội nghị khoa học ở Ý vì ông mang hộ chiếu Đài Loan.
