Ngày 7/1, Phòng Cảnh sát hình sự Công an TP Hà Nội tạm giữ 9 người (16-17 tuổi, cùng ở Hà Nội) để điều tra về hành vi cướp tài sản.
Theo cơ quan chức năng, tối 27/12/2021, Đỗ Gia Khiêm (16 tuổi), Nguyễn Việt Anh (15 tuổi), Phan Minh Đức (16 tuổi) cùng nhóm 6 người khác tụ tập trước cổng trường THCS Thanh Xuân Nam.
Cả nhóm đi qua các tuyến phố, tìm người đi xe máy không đội mũ bảo hiểm, phương tiện không có biển số… để chặn xe hòng cướp tài sản.
21h30 cùng ngày, Khiêm và Việt Anh phát hiện một người đi xe máy không đội mũ bảo hiểm ở phố Nguyễn Văn Huyên (quận Cầu Giấy) nên đuổi theo. Những thanh niên này tự xưng là cảnh sát hình sự, yêu cầu kiểm tra giấy tờ rồi hành hung nạn nhân.
Tiếp đến, Việt Anh cùng đồng bọn đưa nạn nhân đến ngõ 27 Võ Chí Công và tiếp tục đánh, lấy ví có 500.000 đồng. Số tiền này sau đó cả nhóm chia nhau.
Tại trụ sở công an, nhóm thanh niên này khai nhận với thủ đoạn trên, đã thực hiện trót lọt 2 vụ cướp tài sản khác ở quận Long Biên và quận Nam Từ Liêm.
