Lãnh đạo Đảng Cộng Hòa Thượng viện: Đảng Dân Chủ muốn biến Hoa Kỳ thành một nước xã hội chủ nghĩa
Lãnh đạo phe Thiểu số Thượng viện, ông Mitch McConnell (Cộng Hòa-Kentucky) cho biết Đảng Dân Chủ đang cố gắng sử dụng đại dịch để ban hành một nghị trình lập pháp có thể biến Hoa Kỳ thành một quốc gia xã hội chủ nghĩa với các chính sách, chẳng hạn như để chính phủ liên bang tài trợ cho chăm sóc y tế và chăm sóc trẻ em, đồng thời chấm dứt sự độc lập về năng lượng của Hoa Kỳ.

Ông Schumer nói: “Đảng Dân Chủ tại Thượng viện sẽ tiếp tục công việc của chúng ta để thông qua luật mang tính lịch sử nhằm củng cố nền kinh tế của chúng ta và đổi mới tầng lớp trung lưu của Hoa Kỳ trong thế kỷ 21 này.”
