Cu Ba lên tiếng khi bị ‘đổ lỗi’ gây ra Hội chứng Havana nhằm vào các nhà ngoại giao Mỹ
Một hội đồng các nhà khoa học Cuba đã tuyên bố rằng không có bằng chứng khoa học cho tuyên bố của Hoa Kỳ rằng các nhà ngoại giao của họ trên đảo này bị bệnh do các cuộc tấn công bằng âm thanh. Những căn bệnh bí ẩn được mệnh danh là ‘Hội chứng Havana’.
“Hội chứng Havana” được đặt tên sau khi nó lần đầu tiên được chú ý ở Havana vào năm 2016, đề cập đến một loạt các triệu chứng bí ẩn ảnh hưởng đến các nhà ngoại giao và hoạt động tình báo của Mỹ ở Cuba, và sau đó là ở Trung Quốc, Đức, Áo và chính trên đất Mỹ.
Các chính trị gia, nhà nghiên cứu và chuyên gia người Mỹ đều suy đoán rằng các triệu chứng – chủ yếu bao gồm đau đầu, chóng mặt, ù tai, suy giảm thính lực và thị lực, chảy máu cam, chóng mặt và mất trí nhớ – là do một số loại vũ khí siêu âm hoặc vi sóng gây ra.
Nhưng hôm thứ Hai các nhà khoa học Cuba đã lên tiếng phản bác những tuyên bố đó.
Phát biểu tại một cuộc họp báo ở Havana, một hội đồng các nhà khoa học do chính phủ Cu Ba triệu tập đã tuyên bố rằng những tuyên bố về vũ khí siêu âm bí mật là không “được chấp nhận về mặt khoa học” và “không có bằng chứng khoa học về các cuộc tấn công”.
Tiến sĩ Mitchell Valdés-Sosa, Tổng giám đốc Trung tâm Khoa học Thần kinh Cuba, cho biết: “Báo chí quốc tế tiếp tục phổ biến một cách mạnh mẽ những lời giải thích phi khoa học khiến công chúng hoang mang và gây hại cho các quan chức Mỹ tin vào những điều đó”. Ông nói thêm, những tuyên bố như vậy là một trở ngại cho việc tan băng quan hệ giữa Cuba và Mỹ.
Trước đó, do “tin chắc” rằng các nhà ngoại giao đang bị tấn công, Ngoại trưởng Rex Tillerson khi đó đã thu hẹp sự hiện diện ngoại giao của Hoa Kỳ ở Havana vào năm 2018, khi CIA và Hội đồng An ninh Quốc gia điều tra về tình trạng bệnh tật của họ.
Vào tháng 12/2020, Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học, Kỹ thuật và Y học Quốc gia Hoa Kỳ (NASEM) đã kết luận rằng “năng lượng tần số vô tuyến có định hướng, xung” là lời giải thích “hợp lý nhất” đằng sau các vụ việc, nhưng báo cáo do Bộ Ngoại giao ủy quyền lại không loại trừ các khả năng khác.
Một trong những khả năng đó là những tiếng ồn ở cường độ cao mà một số bệnh nhân cho biết họ đã nghe thấy trước khi bắt đầu các triệu chứng thực sự có nguồn gốc tự nhiên. Vào năm 2019, một nhà nghiên cứu tại Đại học Berkeley đã phát hiện ra rằng âm thanh gần như hoàn hảo với tiếng kêu liên tục của dế Indies.
Bộ Ngoại giao đã bác bỏ nghiên cứu và tiếp tục tin rằng các nhà ngoại giao ở Cuba đã bị tấn công. Trong khi đó, các nhà nghiên cứu khác đã lưu ý rằng các triệu chứng của ‘Hội chứng Havana’ là có thật, nhưng không thể giải thích được nguồn gốc của chúng.
